Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek, which is one of the off-the-beaten treks of Nepal, is also one of the longest treks of Nepal and showcases the third highest mountain of the world and takes you to the remotest land, which has its own glory and less travelled trekking trail. Kanchenjunga is a Tibetan word and signifies gold, silver, stone, grain, and scriptures, and it has seven summits in total. One of the best things about Kanchenjunga trek is it takes you deep into the beauty of the mountainous region, andunlike other treks of Nepal, its trekking trail heads off to the borders of two countries, namely Tibet and India. The main features of this trek are lush landscape, tropical jungles, and alpine forest. In addition, it is a home to lots of birds and animals. Snow leopard and Red Panda are also found here. Because of this rich biodiversity, Kanchenjunga area was declared as a conservation area.
The area is also dotted with the villages of Rais and Limbus, as well as it has terraced farmlands, steep ridges, lush grasslands, Yulung glacier, mountain passes and so on. Following meandering and varied terrains, you come across various types of floras, namely rhododendron, pine, birch, ches-nuts, including fauna, such as the Assamese Macaque.
When you reach the base camp, you will see the Yulung glacier, mountain passes and the panoramic view of mountains, which are breathtaking, amazing, and stunning.
