Your Makalu Expedition has a climbing route that traverses the North West Ridge, which is not technically easy, but is more accessible than other routes. In order to begin your expedition, first, you have to fly to Tumlingtar 330m/1083ft, a sub-tropical town situated near the Arun River. Your base camp will be set up at 5300 m/17384ft. Your expedition also includes acclimatization days at this base camp, as well as on the climbing routes.
Advance base camp is set up at 5700m/ 18700ft, which is followed by Camp I at 6300m/20664ft, Camp II at 6750m/22140ft, Camp III at 7400 m/24272ft on Makalu La respectively. From Makalu La, you gain access on the NW Ridge and set up the final camp at 7700m/25250ft. Onward, there is a final camp, from where, the climbing become technical and difficult.
